Location: Cincinnati, OH Construction Schedule: May 2020 – August 2020 Customer: LaSalle High School Architect: SHP HGC completed the LaSalle High School exterior and interior renovations at the end of August—just in time for the beginning of the school year. LaSalle, a Catholic high school for young men,has been a cornerstone of the western and nothern suburbs of Cincinnati since 1960. The building was showing its age, however, and the school aimed to modernize the dated facade while streamlining a few key interior spaces in the process. Before After Updated admin spaces Demolition began in May 2020, and the project is considered a “Summer Slam,” fitting all work in the summer months when the school building is vacant. The 21,600 SF of work included: Extensive demolition and replacement of: the north facing exterior windows 3rd and 2nd floor HVAC system with new replacement VRF system with room to expand in the next phase the north facing storefronts the main entry Upsizing of the building electrical service and switch gear system with room to expand for the future phases. Installation of the new exterior metal panel system to cover the concrete wings Upgrades of all finishes in the 3rd and 2nd floor classrooms on the north half of the school, including flooring, ceilings, lighting, IT, data, projectors, window shades, and paint Exterior asphalt and concrete work for the new mechanical yards and entrance Exterior brick installation at the main entrance Learn more about a recent award-winning high school construction. This project completed early, and under budget. It is another successful collaboration with architect SHP, who was involved with the award-winning projects at Seven Hills School and Amity Elementary. The HGC team that led this project was the same team that met success on additional SHP school renovations like Summit Country Day and Walnut Hills High School.
