Location: Cincinnati, OH Construction Schedule: June 2018 – June 2019 Customer: Seven Hills School Architect and/or Engineer: SHP HGC Role: CMaR HGC was Construction Manager for the new construction of Seven Hills School’s impressive Schiff Center. The Center will support performing arts programming, as well as a vastly expanded series of assembly programs and special events. Check out video of the construction process. The building was constructed on the site of the school’s old tennis courts. Site logistics were challenging because an access road had to remain open in order for lower fields to remain open and fully functioning. Additionally, HGC was able to minimize laydown footprint required through staged deliveries that allowed the baseball field to remain in use. This meant the school did not need to relocate teams to others fields. The final product is an incredible top-of-the-line performing arts venue. It features auditorium seating for approximately 500 people; wing and fly spaces to support large casts and full-scale scenery; a green room and multiple dressing rooms; dedicated rehearsal spaces; and state-of-the-art technology to support presentations and performances; three large classrooms for theater, choir, and instrument ensembles; 16 floor-to-ceiling storage compartments for costumes; soundproof doors; 500 acoustical panels; and a professional-level tech booth and catwalk. VIDEO: HGC Builds Seven Hills The Schiff Center is an unparalleled space, large enough to bring the entire Seven Hills community together to be challenged and inspired by guest speakers, events and awards ceremonies, and academic competitions, and allowing students to flourish.
