St. Aloysius Orphanage Addition and Renovation Location: Cincinnati, OH Construction Schedule: 18 Months Customer: St. Aloysius Orphanage Architect and/or Engineer: GBBN Architects Size: 108,000 SF HGC Construction provided construction management services for St. Aloysius Orphanage addition and renovation. The Bond Hill project consisted of a 90,000 SF remodel and an 18,000 SF addition. Constructed in the late 1800’s, the St Aloysius school building has had many additions as well as survived a fire in its storied history. The remodel included a complete gut and renovation to include all new mechanical and electrical systems as well as technology upgrades to bring this multi-use building up to 21st century building requirements. The addition is used entirely for classroom space and is built from masonry construction with concrete plank floors. The facility remained occupied during construction.
