As a testament to the success of the Lean/Last Planner system, HGC’s 10,600 SF design-build project at the Warren County Courthouse is on track. The renovation and expansion is part of a comprehensive series of improvements planned for the buildings in the county government complex in Lebanon. See other civic projects by HGC. Lean construction is a methodology of construction that is driven by the reduction of waste and adding value in our projects. HGC utilizes a Lean tool known as the Last Planner System as our main vehicle of achieving the reduction of waste and addition of value. The Last Planner System drives a consistent delivery of a project that produces a more reliable schedule, which reduces overall project cost and provides a safer work environment for our team members. As of early April, the addition for administrative offices had begun, with steel framing being completed. The roof was completed by April 15th, and exterior facade work is underway. Drywall is expected to be installed during the month of May. The community is excited to have an updated and expanded facility that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
