Location: Cincinnati, OH
Construction Schedule: February 2020 – November 2020
Customer: Ventura Group [1]
Architect: Luminaut [2]
This renovation encompasses two separate buildings that have been combined—a 1920s original structure, and a 1950s addition. The first floor became The Ventura Event Center, a 7,200 SF event center while the other floors have been white-boxed into office space. The completion of The Ventura moved forward in the face of the COVID-19 health crisis, while taking every precaution to protect workers and the public.
The venue space meets a local need for moderate-sized events. The Ventura can host 300 people standing and 200 seated. The space offers ample natural lighting thanks to two walls of windows. Privacy and ambiance is achieved with gorgeous floor-to-ceiling curtains. An outdoor patio space is enclosed with beautiful wooded slats, seating, and floral beds. The bar is a centerpiece of custom casework and a repurposed bank vault.
A bridal suite and a groom’s den are available for weddings. The bridal suite features bright lighting and a private bathroom. The groom’s den offers leather furniture and another bank vault re-purposed as a private bar.

Office spaces occupy the top two floors of the three-story building spanning over 5,000 SF. Tenants will be able to move in with all systems in place, including electrical and mechanical. Each floor has its own entrance and controlled access to each floor.
HGC is no stranger to navigating complex projects during uncertain times. [7]
HGC’s Self-Perform force, Trade31, enhanced the integrity of the facade by adding a Hardie cornice, trim and belt course to the exterior.
