New construction for long-time partner Rumpke, creating a solid waste transfer building in Georgetown, Kentucky. HGC constructed the 20,000 SF facility on a previously undeveloped 6.0+ acre site. This meant the project required extensive site work to prepare for the structure.

The transfer facility is a large industrial structure in which Rumpke’s fleet transfer waste from their trucks. The waste is temporarily held and sorted before heading to a landfill or waste-to-energy plant.

The structure is a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). The space includes offices, a maintenance garage, and the tipping area for the handling and sorting of solid waste.

The facility also includes a scale house, truck scale and a fuel center.
