Mercer Commons Phase II included the new construction of a mixed-use building comprised of 21 apartments with retail space on the ground floor. Also included was the renovation of several historic buildings into 46 apartments, a management/leasing office, community spaces, and retail spaces.
The Mercer Commons Phase II project is a certified Enterprise Green Community . The units within historic rehab buildings were found to be 15-30% more energy efficient than a standard newly constructed home, and the units within the new building are 20-32% more efficient. The units within the newly constructed building also received Energy Star Certifications, while passing the new Energy Star Version 3 requirements.
