In the Fall of 2016, HGC Construction commenced work on one of a large series of Delivery Stations across ten states. This particular project entailed the renovation of a 79,394 s.f. warehouse as well as constructing a 3,000 s.f. office addition.
The updated warehouse’s primary role will be to serve as a package sorting station for outbound routes allowing for last mile delivery to customers in tightly defined areas.
In the warehouse space, HGC Construction made modifications by installing new overhead door openings and framing, dock levelers, precast ramps, and new MEP systems and equipment. The office section of the project created a new addition to the building that included new state of the art security systems and telecom features.
During the renovation, crews faced a major schedule push due to a change in manufacturers and suppliers. They were able to keep everyone motivated and moving and were prepared to sway items as requested. The crew expedited coordination around MHE. The entire project was successfully completed in 10 weeks.
