HGC Construction has been selected as the General Contractor for Centre College’s new $50 million initiative devoted to wellness and athletic excellence. This initiative will reinvigorate recruitment efforts, attracting a diverse group of prospective students and scholar-athletes. This will be the largest, most comprehensive construction project to date at the college and will create a 135,000-square-foot facility that will benefit the entire campus community in Danville, KY. Explore our portfolio Sutcliffe Hall, the hub of athletics and fitness at Centre, was renovated in 2005 and since then the College’s wellness opportunities and athletics programs have achieved significant growth which includes the launch of 3 new intercollegiate sports. images courtesy of MSA Design and Centre College The new spaces for wellness and athletic excellence will include: An aquatic center housing a 50-meter pool An indoor track and turf infield A 5,000 square foot, state-of-the-art strength and performance center A nutrition center Office space Locker rooms An enhanced Hall of Fame New hospitality and engagement areas Multi-purpose spaces The almost 100-year-old Farris Stadium will also undergo a transformation, and Boles Natatorium will be replaced by the new aquatics center.
