Office interior, large wall artThe future is uncertain, but the right built environment still delivers economic benefits. When we imagine the office of the future, we imagine key elements of many projects from the past. No matter how much seems unpredictable, the value of a versatile and flexible office space remains, and will remain long into the future.

Business Courier speculates on the Office of the Future.

HGC Construction has vast experience in office construction projects of all scopes and sizes. HGC’s teams have performed thousands of hours of related work. They have the practical knowledge necessary to rebuild and reinvent workspaces. Highlights of HGC’s corporate portfolio include:

Novel Coworking

Novel Coworking’s Cincinnati entrepreneurial community is located in the historic Hooper Building downtown. The renovation has been completed in phases, with the first several floors opening in October 2018. The final space features 15,000 SF of offices, conference rooms, and tenant amenities. Project Executive Jake Suer believes these shared work spaces are surprisingly well-equipped for the future.

“The entire facility is set up to accommodate smaller groups. Each suite has its own break area, offices, conference rooms; tenants are not interacting with the entire building.”

The project was so successful that HGC was brought back to complete flours 4-7. completed in early February of 2020 and already has tenants. Learn more.

DotLoop

This three-phase renovation to the historic Longworth Hall created more than 20,000 SF of office space. The high-tech company incorporated extensive digital elements throughout the remodel, including a digital sign-in portal at the entry, badge access, and a system of screens throughout the facility that are linked with Seattle headquarters—all useful technology to keep a company connected as the workforce balances in-person and remote work. The breakout rooms and huddle rooms also allow for isolated work and employee safety. Learn more.

Saatchi & Saatcthi X

This international marketing firm moved into the top floor of the renovated Strietmann Center. HGC had completed the award-winning renovation of the historic building, so it felt full-circle to be selected as the contractor completing the fit-out. The office has its feet pointed in safe direction by offering several conference rooms, huddle rooms, and “phone booth” single-occupant rooms no every floor. The secure entry vestibule was especially important, as Saatchi places the privacy of their clients as a top priority.
