Chief Financial Officer and Co-Owner, Steve Shipp, has formally announced his retirement from the HGC Group of Companies effective April 1, 2020, at which time current VP of Finance, Susan Hathaway, will assume the CFO role. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, the HGC Group of Companies is comprised of Structural Systems Repair Group (SSRG), Stanton Millworks, HGC Construction and the recently acquired Stewart Iron Works. This development is just one aspect of the strategic plan for the Group of Companies moving into the new decade as it continues its legacy of innovation in the industry and quality craftsmanship. A Collaborative Changeover Shipp and Hathaway have been preparing for this transition since Hathaway joined HGC Group as Vice President in April of 2019. As a result, HGC Group is prepared to move seamlessly through this change while continuing to strengthen and grow the Group in the process. Meet Susan Hathaway With more than fifteen years of CFO-level experience, Susan Hathaway brings her orientation toward growth, financial analysis, accounting, risk management, and treasury skills to HGC. Hathaway earned a BBA in Accounting from the University of Toledo, an Executive MBA from The Ohio State University, and her Ohio CPA license. Susan is excited to build upon HGC Group’s momentum and carry on Shipp’s legacy of building a strong financial team which serves as a steward of the Group of Companies’ and clients’ resources.
