HGC has a long history with Greater’s ice cream, and the partnership makes sense due to both company’s commitment to handcrafted excellence. Just in the past two months, HGC has either wrapped up or begun working on four different Graeter’s locations. Bethel Road, Columbus, OH At 11,600 SF, this location is the biggest retail location yet. Converted from a former big-box discount store, it opened at the end of March. This location features a training center, offices, and a kids’ play space that is already booked several months out. Check out the video about the Bethel location. Cherry Grove, Cincinnati, OH Anderson Township had to get by about one month without a Graeter’s, but the break was well worth it. Neighboring land was added to the existing lot, so the location could nearly double in size, part of comprehensive renovations to this flagship location. The project is being completed in phases, allowing the 4,000 SF ice cream and pastry shop to open on April 23, 2019. Work continues on the 2,500 SF of Phase II, which includes a new play space, party room, and expanded dining area. The project is expected to be completed on May 24th. Castle Shannon, Pittsburgh, PA This 1,800 SF Neighborhood Scoop Shoppe was converted from a fast-food burger restaurant, and conveniently features a drive-thru. It had such a successful opening weekend that it placed #2 in sales nationally. Fountain Square, Cincinnati, OH This project is in the preliminary design phase, with construction set to begin in September. The renovation will allow the ice cream shop to take over half of the former Servatii’s store, and it will create a bigger, improved access point from the 5/3 lobby.
