Crowds at the Schiff Center Ribbon cuttingOn Saturday, May 11, the Seven Hills School community came together to celebrate the Schiff Center ribbon cutting.

The event brought together alumnae, current students and families, faculty and administration, all to commemorate this exciting new chapter for the school. The Schiff family launched the grand opening of The Schiff Center, which was followed by performances by current students and alumni. Several alumni came from across the nation to celebrate this milestone for their alma mater.

We did this together,” said Christopher Garten, the Head of School. He has also said, “Every Seven Hills student, on both campuses, will benefit from The Schiff Center, and every Seven Hills family long into the future will remember our vision.”

HGC was Construction Manager for the brand-new 43,000 SF facility. The Center is filled with top-of-the-line features and technology, including 16 floor-to-ceiling storage compartments for costumes, soundproof doors, 500 acoustical panels, a professional tech booth and catwalk—and that’s just naming a few.

“This is going to make tech more accessible to a lot of kids. A whole classroom can sit together and learn the ropes on the catwalk,” gushed Trey Tatum, Middle and Upper School technical theater director and teacher.

The HGC team was led by Project Manager Jake Suer, who speaks highly of the experience.  “Seven Hills, from the administration to the teachers, up and down, has been a great client to work for and work with,” he says. “They truly have been a partner, just like SHP, GOP, and the other consultants involved.”
