After great success on the renovation of Christ Church Cathedral’s Centennial Chapel and Sycamore Commons [4], HGC was tasked with a Design-Build [5] called the Nave Organ Project. The job was a highly detailed renovation of the Cathedral Nave in preparation for a new Richards Fowkes & Co 4,000 pipe organ.
Scope included:
- careful acoustic studies
- installation of acoustic panels
- new floor tiles
- additional renovated spaces, including music room and media control room
- enlarged Chancel, in preparation for .
Construction schedule and logistics were carefully managed to allow full occupancy and regular worship schedule throughout the duration of project.
