Location: Cincinnati, OH Schedule: April 2009 – August 2010 Cost: $6,800,000 Customer: Cincinnati Public Schools Architect: Moody Nolan The College Hill Fundamental Academy project included the renovation of a 1920’s elementary school, construction of two 10,000 SF additions surrounding the building, and a demolition of an existing 1900’s school building was also in the project scope. The renovation consisted of various upgrades in finishes, including replacing or furring out many existing plaster walls, removal of all non-decorative plaster ceilings, restoration of existing decorative ceilings and refinishing the original hardwood flooring. HGC Construction also installed new aluminum windows and wood doors which were designed to maintain the historic aesthetic features of the building.
