HGC Construction recently completed the new construction of the Artis Senior Living facility in Bridgetown, OH [3]. The 62 room, 33,000 SF building houses a high-quality assisted living and memory care facility serving individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The facilities are divided into four wings, each with their own dining room, kitchen and porch. Each wing includes multiple rooms and has its own unique design with a wide variety of furnishing components, including ornamental trims and details. Due to the many different furnishing components, great attention to detail is required. Amenities of the facilities include two courtyards, activity areas, health center, beauty shop, studio and community center.
The poor soil condition at the site posed a challenge to the team. HGC Construction was able to save the owner money without redesigning out of budget by using geotechnical engineering to minimize costs.
