HGC Construction Company’s principal office is located in a federally designated Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Zone. HGC actively employs from several designated HUB Zone areas.

Local

State of Ohio EDGE program. Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity

HGC Construction repeatedly demonstrates that we meet or exceed project specified goals for the State of Ohio’s EDGE Program. The State of Ohio developed this program to make all state contracts, services, benefits and opportunities available without discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age or ancestry. HGC is active and engaged in Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity in public contracting.

Winning bids and exceeding project goals

Cincinnati Public Schools has established strong inclusion goals for its $1 Billion facilities master plan, and HGC delivers on project goals set forth by the District. One such project is the addition and renovations to the historic Walnut Hills High School. The combined inclusion report shows a significant commitment:

- 27% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation, totaling $12,631,600

- 31% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation, totaling $14,482,817

Mentoring/Training/Leading

Through trade group participation to help guide the industry to providing direct assistance to those entering or seeking to grow their businesses, HGC and its employees devote their time and resources to the betterment of the participating companies and individuals.
