The temperature was exceptionally high, but so were spirits at the official ribbon cutting of the long-awaited Avondale Town Center. On October 1, the Avondale community and other stakeholders came together to celebrate the culmination of this cornerstone of the neighborhood. HGC was proud to be the Construction Manager on this milestone project.

Clement Health Center, Cincinnati Healing Arts, Cozy Home Day Care, Boost Mobile, Clean Laundry, City Gear, Citi Trend, Styled by Perfection and Fifth Third Bank, as well as a yet-to-be-disclosed fresh market.

Many prominent leaders were present at this occasion. Speakers included Mayor of Cincinnati John Cranley, representatives from The Community Builders, Housing and Urban Development, Avondale Community Council, as well as owners of local businesses. Speakers expressed their gratitude for the excellent collaboration between city, community, and business stakeholders.

“At HGC, we believe in community and making the world a better place,” reflected HGC President Mike Huseman after the event. “This project was an incredible experience. We are grateful to the many incredible partners who made it happen. We are excited to see the Avondale neighborhood bring this building to life.”
