At HGC, we believe in partnership, collaboration, and gratitude [1]. So we were eager to find a one-of-a-kind way to express our appreciation for partners, clients, and employees. And we have found that one of the best ways to build relationships is relaxing together after a hard day’s work, sharing a drink. That’s when the light bulb went off. Why couldn’t HGC—known for craftsmanship—get involved in craft beer?
It was a no-brainer to partner with Taft’s Brewing Company [2]. One our early large renovations in OTR was the restoration of St. Paul’s German Evangelical Church, which became Taft’s Ale House [3]. The talented brewers at Taft’s loved the idea of creating a custom micro-brew that captures the spirit of our industry. And our friends at BLDG [4] (the team that helped us craft “Build Every Day [5]” and our Holiday Survival Kit [6]) added their usual visual edge. And thus, the Builder’s Brew [7] was born.
An IPA, the Builder’s Brew is drawn up to provide just the right balance of bitterness and floral notes. It is measured twice, brewed once, to deliver a delightfully finished product. Just the right combination of hops, malts, and grains—perfect for the end of a hard day’s work. and a real joy to share with partners, clients, and team members.
