The Largest Office Renovation in OTR is Complete

We recently just completed renovation of the historic 100,000 square foot, seven story Strietmann Building. Located in Over-the-Rhine, the structure contains five floors of class A office space as well as street level restaurant and retail space.  The seventh floor is a communal space complete with a full kitchen and outdoor rooftop terrace with panoramic views. The lower level includes locker rooms, showers, and bike storage.

Built in 1899, the one-time home of the Strietmann Biscuit Company sat adjacent to the Miami and Erie Canal (now Central Parkway). Grandin Properties received $1.2 million in Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits to assist with the renovation and invested in 121 rooftop solar panels used to offset electricity needs for lighting, heating, and air conditioning. These solar panels will produce enough energy to produce about the same amount of energy needed to power five single-family homes annually.  Using solar and other energy efficient designs, The Strietmann Center obtained LEED Silver certification.

“To complete a historic renovation and add modern amenities to a building of this size, age, and varying building construction type took a complete team effort to accomplish.  The building core and shell is complete and HGC looks forward to working with future tenants.” – Jake Suer, Project Manager.
